Run Of The Mill

Two in a day! Get me! This is mostly due to the fact that I’ve not really achieved a great deal today apart from getting up (just about) in time for work, eating, working and that’s about it…I think it’s easy to tell it’s getting close to my week off eh?

I did set my alarm for the reasonably late time of 11am, just in case, and even woke up before that, but decided to settle down for more sleep and didn’t drag my lazy self up until nearly midday, so that barely left me enough time to get a blog up, get breakfast and a cuppa down me and then get myself out for work! Serves me right!

Yummy breakfast of toasted couscous, which we’ve finally managed to stock up on after a fortnight of trying! I must stop telling people where to buy these things, as I can never get them when I want them ;o)

It was a truly glorious day as I drove into work, nothing like that to dent the old spirits as I knew I’d be inside, where it’s stuffy and warm, rather than beautiful and sunny. Here’s hoping the weather lasts through next week though, as my MayCation with TOK is looming large! Squee!

Work food was pretty standard I’m afraid, just a wee bit of mixing it up with the HiFi flavour!

Lunch was more of my batch cooked soup - I seem to be building quite a collection at the moment, all good for having something ready to grab to take to work! Today was another one where I was working here, there and everywhere, although today, it made the day fly by nice and quickly, which is always a blessing, and so 10pm arrived, and I had the even better news...not sure it's news, but the discovery anyway...that the road which had been closed for the last 2 nights was open again, shaving 20 minutes off my drive home! Yay! This meant that my planned visit to Tesco for caramel desserts which had been abandoned yesterday could take place - and I managed to strike lucky with reductions too, so I picked up my ice-creams (£1.20), plus two bags of Kale, 2 packs of mixed veggies for soup, carrots, salad and fruity snack packs for the grand total of £1.89, not too shabby eh? It was then to home I headed where Hague had a rather scrummy dinner ready and waiting.

Gnocchi, with much veg, soft cheese and Stilton. Totally gorgeous! It was, of course, followed up with one of the caramel ice cream thingums from Tesco.

So good, and just 5½ syns!

So there we have my not overly exciting Thursday, although it has been interspersed with more plannings for my MayCation, and speculative browsings for a few days away with Hague, should we be able to afford it at some point this year! It has also involved my Race for Life target smashing through the £800 mark - which is just unbelievable, so if you've donated already, whatever the amount, thank you so, so very much - it really does mean the world to me, and your generosity has astounded me...if you haven't donated yet...why not??

It's so easy...just click HERE and get donating...you know you want to ;o)

I should end today with another revisited reason, but with so much going on at work today, I've not had too much time to ponder. The first list was quite easy, as I had so many frustrations and niggles that I wanted to put behind me - finding new things to focus on, and different directions for my reasons is something that needs thought, and so think I shall :o)

xx

    1. I don't bother, I buy the ambient stuff that's about 80p a pack and it's only 2 syns for 100g :)
