12 Long Hours

Not the most exciting of days to report on I'm afraid, as it was a 12 hour night shift - so it was pretty much get up, eat, work, bath, bed...but I'll try to expand on that slightly for you!

I woke up when my alarm when off, just after 3, after a brief afternoon visit to the loo when a half awake me discovered that Hague would be working when I got up and so I had to sort my own breakfast :o( I had planned on burgers, but a quick peruse of the scarily empty freezer changed that to something slightly different.

That's what you call a meal to set you up for a long shift eh? It was gorgeous, and certainly meant I was nice and full as I set out to work. I was on the same machine for the entire shift, which can definitely get a tad boring, but after reading some of the lovely comments and suggestions people have left for me after my last blog I had a little look at some of the myriad 30 day challenges you can find online and decided that the 30 day squat one was discreet enough for me to do whilst at work - well, whilst my machine is running and I'm on my own that is lol!

So I did my 50 squats, and that was pretty much the highlight of a not too exciting day! A day that now involved aching thigh muscles O.o

Foodwise, work was obviously quite heavy, seeing as I was there for approximately forever...

Ah, the old perennial, HiFi and a banana :o) 

First dinner was a Quorn/Chickpea Dahl curry with added spinach, made my Hague the other day whilst he did himself a curry. Leftovers really are a godsend for shift work!

Yep...a Graze box had arrived lol! I do love the toffee apple dip, one of my favourites.

My batch baking effort for my final meal, Mitchystrone soup - just on it's own as I was only peckish, not massively hungry. Not surprisingly really as I was utterly shattered by that point! 

Despite being utterly shattered I decided on a bath before bed, mainly as I was rather achey after my long shift and my squat challenge! I was, of course, accompanied by bath snackage and the iPad, this morning's viewing was Great British Menu..

Snackage was mainly bits I'd taken to work and not eaten, plus a lovely milky Chai tea with my remaining HeA. Lovely! Once I'd had a long old soak I got myself into bed, where I slept for way, way too long, but that's another story!

Sorry for the dullness of my day - but such is life eh? There have been a couple of high spots, mainly getting home ;o) I also had a rather yummy coffee sweet (or 2) for a syn, and am still feeling okay about being at work, which is a healthy improvement.

I also wanted to extend another thank you to all of you who have taken the time to comment on my blog post yesterday, it does help me to know that there are people out there going through the same, or who have advice on where to go from here, it means a lot to me, it really does. I'll be going back to weekly weigh in's from Tuesday, taking any gain on the chin and then seeing if my body wants to maintain or shift some more weight to get to that elusive 11 stone goal of mine!

I did really well the first time (lost 5st and was miss slinky in 2003) but the inevitable happened and I came off plan and I'm back at square 1. I'm reading through some of your updates and i'm feeling really inspired, thank you, I will keep reading xx
