Much Of A Nothingness

The day before my first night shift is always a bit of nothingness. I try and stay in bed late so I'm not shattered at work, and when I do emerge I "conserve my energy" my doing a whole lot of nothing. Yesterday was a wee bit different due to my neighbour banging and crashing all day, frustrating my attempts to sleep, and then having to go and collect Hague from the station at 3.

So as I hadn't had a huge amount of sleep, once I'd collected Hague I got myself something quick to eat before going to try and get more zzzzz's.

Ah figs, I've missed you SO much! So they were mixed in with some natural yogurt, toasted cous cous and my HeB of nutty muesli, delicious. Luckily my neighbour finished up with his banging at about 4 and so I managed to get more rest before getting up and showered ready for work, and fed, courtesy of Hague.

Lots of veggies, with pasta and LowLow. Perfect filling dinner to keep me going all night long, which started shorting after me wolfing that rather large bowlful down, and my dessert of gingerbread latte, HiFi and grapes :)

Work was a tad different, I've been training on a different machine, and was left on my own today for the first time, time does go far quicker on the filler (I fill the bottles, well not me, I look after the machine that does). With one thing and another I didn't get a third break, so work food was just like this...

Once work was done, it was straight to bed for me, and for once, it was pretty much straight to sleep. Bliss!

So that was Monday, and as today holds a 12 hour shift it won't be overly exciting either, and I have to miss weigh in which is highly frustrating, I really don't like missing group, although it's not stopping me getting nicely  back on plan. For anyone that's started their diet today (or yesterday) as apparently it was D-Day, good luck to you, and let me know how you get on!

  1. What is toasted cous cous please is it syns ?

    1. Toasted cous cous is free, it's also called giant or israeli couscous, the grains are much larger than the normal cous cous. I get mine from Holland and Barratt.
