Karen Mitchell - Never Knowingly Underfed

I'm afraid when you're working a 12 hour shift, there isn't much to report other than the fact I was at work, and I ate a great deal...

I did nod off quite quickly after work, which was quite a good thing as then I woke up at midday, had me a bit of a chat with Hague and then of course had to check the online world before settling down again for a bit more sleep. Only until 3 though, when I had to get myself up and fed, and boy did Hague do me proud with my breakfast/dinner type thing.

How yummy? Burgers, chips and roasted veggie salad. It was bloody gorgeous! Alas, once it was eaten, I just about had time for a coffee before it was workwards for me :o( 

Ah 12's I moan about you with mundane regularity, I think it's the whole fact that I have to work for 4 hours, and then my team come in and I have a whole shift to still plough through...two this week as well *sigh* I shall stop moaning for now though, to share my noms with you. The first half of the shift was a bit easier, so we squeezed in extra breaks :)

After my huge dinner I wasn't overly hungry and only ate on one of those breaks though, and soon enough it was my first meal break. Laziness has meant that I haven't got anything prepared and so I went for a quick standby, the Asda smartprice vegetable curry can, which has just 1 syn. I added in some cherry tomatoes and spinach to get the superfree in as well, and it was surprisingly nice.

Then it was off to finish up the remaining 8 hours, this time on the filler, quite a busy night with a size change to get through and weariness was getting the better of me. Food wise, the rest of the night looked like this..

Finishing up with a meal of "diet" food there after burger and chips and a curry hehe! I was shattered when I got home, and so any ideas of running, swimming, or even a bath went out of the window in favour of me falling straight into bed!

Not the most exciting of days (again), but I have enjoyed the huge amount of positivity that seems to be swirling around at the moment. The start of a New Year, and a new diet seems to be part of our mentality, and it's great to see so many friends who have maybe fallen by the wayside in the last few months coming back to group, ready to continue their journey. I don't see it as a restart though, as it's all a continuation. It's all about never giving up, even if you're struggling, if you don't give up, you'll get to where you want to be eventually. Something I'll be telling myself when I finally get back to weigh in next Tuesday, as I'm still expecting a gain after my gluttonous Christmas!
