A Very Shieldy Sunday

Today has been a bit of a nothing day. I'm sure you all know what I mean. I did have plans in my head for what to do, a wander up to the shops to see what was in the sale, maybe popping into Norwich for a special shop, even a visit to the cinema...

Waking up at 2 in the afternoon on a Sunday puts a bit of a spanner in plans like those, what is it about Sunday and me wanting to shop on the one day that all the shops shut early? No-one to blame but myself I guess, I stayed up way too late reading instead of actually sleeping! When I did get myself up, I got a quick breakfast sorted and found myself quite quickly glued to the sofa.

I'm still trying to get superfree in with my meals, and seeing as I really couldn't be bothered to do myself a full fry up with lots of lovely mushrooms and tomatoes I made do with some fruit after my sausage baps were eaten. I then got myself back into my book - a book which Jadey also seems to be enjoying when I put it down ;o)

I then realised that I was feeling immensely bored, the never-ending episodes of Shield that Hague is watching, my book, the magical t'interwebz, and giggling at Flumpy falling off the windowsill in her sleep, none of them were holding my interest and so I decided to get my bum off the sofa and out for a swim, first one in weeks! I did manage to get 40 lengths under my belt in just over 35 minutes, so not too bad, but obviously once I was back indoors I was rather peckish and so got to work on dinner.

It tasted as good as it looks, Quorn roast topped with half a tub of LowLow, roasted courgette, peppers and onion and some hasselback potatoes. It was utterly delicious, although for some reason it didn't fill me up and so after a large cuppa and about an hour of waiting I polished off the rest of the Quorn roast.

I blame the swimming ;o)

I then dived back into my book, whilst Hague carried on watching what I believe is the 7890th series of The Shield, but despite several more large drinks, I still felt the old hunger pangs and got myself one of my more eclectice plates of noms.

The third slice of my HeA allowance of cheese, pickled onions, figs, a banana, apricots and a yogurt :o) No, I'm really not pregnant, honest! That plate of oddness does seem to have quietened the hungry tummy monster for now though thank goodness, and so as I'm feeling rather tired, Hague is commenting that I'm looking weary every time he walks past, and I have work tomorrow, it may soon be time for a nice bubbly hot chocolate and bed!

It has definitely felt like a lazy day, despite my swim, and despite me cooking a proper dinner once more - I've even had a bit of a sort out of my scruffies box and got rid of some of the more enormous clothes that are lurking in there. I still feel like I've done bugger all all day though! Ah well, at least tomorrow will bring a return to proper normality with me heading back to work, just 10 more shifts to get through until it's Christmas!!!!

Oh yeah, that's something else I was thinking about doing today, but didn't, put the tree up! Doh!
