Worst Jobs and Worn Out

Is there a worse job in the world than trying to find the cheapest price for your car insurance?

Millions of companies, tons of price comparison websites, trying to remember what claims you have and when you were caught for speeding....I hate it. As mine is due to run out on Sunday I figured I really had to get my bum in gear and get it sorted. Luckily I only had to go through one price comparison site, and then got the price beaten by my current company. It took some doing by the very nice Lewis on the end of the phone, but at least it's over with for another year and once again my monthly payments have gone down. And all achieved by 10am!

With such a busy morning, I put away many cups of tea whilst deciding what to have for breakfast. In the end I went for yet another cooked brekkie. A week of earlies is looming and they are normally dominated by yogurt and fruit based breakfasts, so I make the most of the opportunity to have a big old plate of eggs and veggie noms.

After I'd eaten I got yesterday's blog up and then generally whiled away my time doing not a lot whilst Hague was all busy tidying, hoovering and sorting out his new gym! The sofa glue had well and truly set in. I moved mainly to get more cups of tea and then to get some lunch.

Some more of the carrot, lentil and coriander soup I'd made the other day, with some controversial bread on the side....As one slice of the new Hovis Seed Sensations 800g loaf is a HeB, I'd picked up the 400g loaf yesterday when we went shopping, it looks lovely, thick slices and full of seeds. However, when I went to check the list of Healthy Extras online, only the 800g single slice was listed. Thwarted....I spoke to Claire and she said she was unsure, but she'd err on the side of caution and not have it. although she knows that some people are choosing to have 2 slices. Me, being me, and being all frugal, I have decided to use what I have and in future go with the 800g loaf if I fancy something different. It really does taste lush!

By now time was marching on, and for some reason I had decided to give a local exercise class a go, not just any exercise class but a bloody Boot Camp. I'm not entirely sure what came over me, but at about 4 I fortified myself with some snackage and then headed out.

I walked to the Priory Centre (where my SW groups are held) so had already done some exercise and then got talking to some of the other people waiting for the class who all reassured me it wasn't so bad.

They were lying.

It was HARD, very hard. Harder than my jogging and swimming that's for sure! I had to sit out the last few exercises as I just couldn't do anymore, it was one hell of a work out and I'm sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow. I had planned to do a tummy toning class afterwards but I thought that might actually finish me off and so I just got a few bits from Aldi and headed home. On the way I passed Hague who was also heading out for some Body Magic, although he was going to the gym to get kicked in the head, as he's a boy and they're a bit weird like that.

I was starving by the time I got in and so got myself some roasted veggie pasta on the go whilst watching a bit of Come Dine With Me.

Quite a simple meal, just roasted butternut squash (skin on), red pepper, courgettes and cherry tomatoes. Once they were cooked I stirred them into my pasta with my HeA of reduced fat soft cheese and then topped with my HeB of Stilton, oh and stirred in some spinach. Quite a lot there, but I was rather hungry! Once that was eaten I headed up for a very hot bath as I was already feeling rather achey. I took up a lovely milky hot chocolate and one of my new books to get started on but I was joined by my usual bath hijacker Hague after about 15 minutes and so we both soaked away our aches and pains whilst he told me all about getting kicked in the head, face and legs at his first kick boxing lesson. I think I'll stick to swimming....

I could barely keep my eyes open, but was persuaded to spend a wee bit of time with Hague, and so we watched some South Park whilst I got myself some dessert and blogged.

That's JadeyPuss keeping a close eye on my food there :o)

I've actually managed to get through today without a nap, no wonder I'm so bloody tired! Hopefully I'll get a decent sleep after spending an hour doing weights, push ups, sit ups and various other varieties of exercisey torture! Whilst the rest of the day has been quiet, it's been rather lovely as it's been spent mostly chatting to other SW peeps, some right at the start of their journey and others a bit further along. All making themselves at home on the Purple Bus though! Feel free to join us :o)
