Burns, Bangs and a Bloody Lot of Steps

What a day! I feel like I've haven't stopped all day long! Even if I did manage to squeeze a nap in along with everything else ;)

For some reason I woke up at 7am. I have no idea why as we didn't got to bed particularly early, but once I woke up, I felt awake and bizarrely, I decided to get up and do my Couch to 5K run rather than turning over and going back to sleep. Many theories have been put forward for such behaviour, the most likely being that the Body Snatchers have somehow swapped me for an fitness freak. Makes sense to me! So before half 7 on a Saturday morning I was walking and jogging my way along 2.6 miles of Great Yarmouth seafront to complete the first run of week 4 of the plan. The first week where you run more than you walk, with running for 5 minute blocks. I was scared of this week, but I managed it! I'm still enjoying it as well. Afterwards, it was the usual routine of a nice soak in the bath, I had breakfast whilst in there too.

With Hague called into work early to cover sickness I made the difficult decision to head back to bed :) I couldn't be too lazy though and set my alarm for midday, giving myself a couple of hours to nap as I had to get the house looking a little bit less like student digs, and go and get some money as my wonderful hairdresser was due to make me look like a human being once more.

She managed it :) Well, she managed to make my hair look good anyway - my lack of sleep can be blamed for the less than flattering look on my face!

I then managed to set fire to my headphones, so had to order new ones and also had to feed myself as I'd reached the point of being bloody starving as it was gone 3pm and I'd gone nearly 8 hours without eating....oops.

Sometimes superfree goes out of the window, I just really fancied cheesey chips with mayonnaise and so that's what I had. Purple chips no less :) Not long after that Hague was home, and after getting himself some dinner we headed out to Great Yarmouth stadium for the greyhound racing. Perhaps normal people would drive the 3 miles from our house to the venue, but not us....we walked it! We also managed it in less than an hour which I thought was quite impressive.

We had a fabulous time whilst we were there, getting winners in 5 out of the 13 races, but more importantly just having fun together. It's been a hell of a long time since we've had the money to have an evening out, and so it made a wonderful change. I quite like the fact that I still get excited over spending time with my boyfriend after 5 years :) As you may have noticed, I had once more gone way too long without eating, as by the time we had got ourselves home it was close to midnight.....not the cleverest thing I've ever done, but at least I didn't succumb to the highly synful food on offer at the dogs, just a couple of sachets of sugar in my coffee.

Once indoors it was definitely something quick that was the order of the day, so I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear that it was cheesey pasta that I made for myself.

Broccoli, asparagus and spinach were mixed in, as well as a tub of LowLow, minimal effort for a very tired girl!

I then needed something sweet, so went for a Muller Light Dessert, swiftly followed by another one as it was bloody lovely ;)

Total syns                                                12½

Quite an odd day really, with not much food being eaten, but a ridiculous amount of exercise done. Over 10 miles walked in fact, no wonder my little legs are aching.

So much exercise means that I'm just one more day, and 15 minutes of activity away from gaining my Silver Body Magic award. So excited about it! With another C25K run to complete on Monday, that'll be me all shiny and silvery at my first proper attempt :)

Best get my tired little legs to bed! Got a day of absolutely nothing to prepare for tomorrow, and I can't wait!

On day two of couch to 5k... i feel pain in places i didn't think i could hurt lol. But i have enjoyed it, cant seem to get a handle of breathing and running at the same time and shutting my mouth !! think that will come with practise. plus the fact i forgot that i wasnt on my own when jogging today and some poor man nearly jumped out of his skin when i swore quite loudly (thought it was to myself) when i nearly feel on my bum with my legs in the air, caught my foot on edge of a bit of pavement sticking up!
If i dont eat regularly i get become a real grumpy pants so i dont know how you lasted so long??

    1. I *think* I breathe with my mouth open, I have nose breathing issues ;) It's a great feeling though isn't it? Apart from when you nearly fall over of course!

I'm not sure how I lasted either, I was getting rather grumpy on the walk home x
