At Last and Lazy Days.

I have been waiting for today for weeks and weeks. My fringe had got so long that it was halfway down my face, and my grey hair was taking over my head - not a great look. It really is so inconsiderate of lovely hairdressers to go on maternity leave you know ;)

However, today, I once again had an appointment, and even the fact that it was at 9am couldn't dampen my excitement at a good old catch up and having lovely hair once more :) Fuelled by coffee, the two hours flew by and by the time she had left I was looking like this once more.

Much better, and we even got some purple in there too :) I then got myself some breakfast and yet more coffee, it's hungry work this pampering lark!

A couple of eggs on toast, it was more filling that it looked! The bread was from a large loaf and so I weighed it and as it was only 65g for both slices, a HeB and just ½ syn was the verdict for the food diary :) I then got into little housewife mode and put some SW chips in the oven for Hague, as he was working and popping home for lunch. Although they shall now be known as swimmy chips after his phone re-named them. Whilst he was here, we had the excitement of the postman delivering lots and lots of parcels, most of them were boring boy DVD's for Hague, but one was my Monsoon skirt that he had bought for me! It was a bit longer than I had expected, but it fitting, and as TOK had requested photos, I got Hague to take one for me. I say one, he took about 5 attempts, hence the silly pose that eventually got saved for posterity...

Not a bad buy for £10.50 though, although I think I shall be hoiking it up a bit :) With such excitement in a few short hours, I then decided that bed was where I needed to be and so headed up for a nap whilst Hague headed back to work.

My little nap managed to last 4 hours, leading me and TOK to discuss the possibility of mega naps actually being my super power. SomnaGirl was born :) We were unsure as to whether Somna was actually a word, but I'm proud to announce that it is actually a swedish verb meaning to pass into sleep, so I can indeed by SomnaGirl! Of course I shall have a purple cape that can double as a duvet!

Obviously sleeping is hungry work and I really needed something to eat when I woke up, but I had no idea what I fancied. I played over in my mind various noms but didn't fancy any of them. My appetite wasn't even quelled by watching a truly shocking show about a woman in America who was basically living in utter squalour, and using every excuse under the sun as to why she was so idle. It was seriously gross, and had Hague shouting at the TV. For some reason, whilst watching my mind was made up over what to have for dinner, and so I had a Mitchy creation.

It may not look much, and I may have made it myself but it was absolutely bloody gorgeous! Roast vegetable and blue cheese lasagne with Jersey royal potatoes and olives. The lasagne was easy (isn't all my food) and tasting amazing!

I chopped up some veggies, sweet potato, red onion, mushrooms, courgette, cherry tomatoes and garlic, threw them into an oven dish with frylight and some dried thyme and roasted them off for 20 minutes. Whilst they were roasting I blended up 4 blue cheese LC triangles a dollop of cottage cheese and some natural yogurt. When the veggies were done, I mixed them with some spinach and about 2/3rds of the blue cheese sauce, layered the veg with lasagne sheets and topped with the rest of the sauce and 30g of Stilton. The potatoes were just boiled and then mixed with a little Graze box of olives in garlic and basil oil. If you love blue cheese and veggies, give the lasagne a go, it was SO good, even if I do say so myself!

You'd have thought after that huge pile of noms I'd be stuffed, well it wasn't much later than I felt the need for something sweet and so did myself a plate of picky fruit to enjoy whilst I chatted away to TOK.

Yes today really has been that lazy, involving much sofa time, TOK texting time and general being covered in cats time :)

We then decided to watch a bit of boxing, which of course required more snacks, why yes I do believe that I may actually have worms today....

Houmous, or as it shall now be know, hoooomuss, with carrots and a FlumpyCat butt. Although I didn't eat the FlumpyCat butt. I did put away all the hoooomuss though. It's a nice and easy to make though. Just a tin of chickpeas (drained), lemon juice, garlic, seasoning, natural yogurt and cumin all blended together, and after WeightLossBitch adding in mayo to hers, I added some of that too. Who needs crisps and full fat dips eh?

As you may have noticed, myself and TOK have had pretty similar lazy days, and so I'm sure you'll be unsurprised to hear that I am also ending up my day by watching Finding Nemo :)
