Weigh In Day Disappointment

I didn't get enough sleep before Hague stirred me at about 4pm so I could get ready for group. I felt heavy and tired as we headed to weigh in as well. Never a good sign, but things started looking up when we arrived to no queue for weigh in and then I got on the scales and saw that I'd done it! I'd lost 1½lbs, taking me to a total loss of 7st 7½lbs which meant the 7½ stone award was mine :) Very happy bunny! So why the disappointment I hear you say?

Well, apparently consultants have to order in awards over 6stone specially, and across our groups the lovely Claire has quite a few members who have lost more than that and so she didn't have a sticky or certificate for me!

So for now, I just have a post it note! I'm joking though, I was more than pleased to have reached the next milestone, although we have lots coming up in the next few weeks so I'm not sure how long it will be before that 8st award is mine :) Hague also had another successful night, getting his 3½ stone award :) It was taster night too and so I indulged in a few nibbles too.

The rice and quiche were syn free, but I allowed a couple of syns for the delicious mac n cheese from the magazine. With weigh in done it was time to head home and get fed before heading to work once more.

As is normal after weigh in, it was a quick and simple dinner, sausage, egg and chips with some fried mushrooms and onions. I do need to search out the syn free Quorn sausages!

Work actually wasn't too bad today, although the lift still wasn't working, and so I have decided that I shall stop checking to see if it's working and just go up the stairs from now on. This is a pretty big thing for me as I used to dread them so much, but I finally feel okay climbing up them. Huge non-scale victory for me really. The lines were stopping and starting, but it wasn't down to us, and so we didn't have huge amounts to do. We also had another trainee, who actually acted like he wanted to be trained which was a very pleasant change after the last one! Despite a lovely big dinner I was hungry again at my first break and so had my sandwich.

It's not often I have a sandwich, as they just don't fill me up, but as a snack, it was lovely, and it was jammed with cucumber and 4 blue cheese Laughing Cow light triangles, so all my Healthy Extras in one go!

Much as we had planned on having lots of breaks, somehow we didn't manage it and so my next break was lunch.

It was supposed to be Minestrone soup, but Hague had added a touch - for touch read 3/4 of a pack of - too much macaroni, and so all the soupyness was soaked up by the pasta! Oh well, it still did the job of filling me up along with some more fruit and a yogurt.

With the minutes crawling by due to the lines barely running the night was really dragging, and despite it not being hard work, it does get tedious. Yes, I really am never satisfied ;)

My final break involved yet more fruit - can you tell I'm on a 5 a day challenge?

Time finally crawled around to 5.45am and freedom beckoned. As I was hungry yet again I stopped at a Tesco Express to pick up some asparagus for dinner and some fruit to munch on whilst waiting for Hague.

It was freezing cold in the car, and I had to sit with the heating on whilst I waited, which made me all cosy and tired. Thank goodness driving wakes me up! So just after 7am we were hurtling home and then after feeding The Menagerie it was time to snuggle into bed. Bliss!
