Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad

It seems like forever since I've weighed in, but it's only been a fortnight, and so I couldn't wait to get to group today. I'd even had a decent sleep, with only a couple of disturbances after last night's shift as well, so I couldn't complain (too much) about being tired.

I had time for a nice soak too before getting dressed and headed out to be weighed. I even had a non-scale victory before I'd even left the house :) I have many, many Threadless t-shirts which I bought when I'd lost my weight before, and which haven't fitted me in years, but today, I thought I'd give one a go....

It fitted, and as you can see, that made me rather happy :) As TOK said, it's like free shopping when you can fit into old clothes again!

With my lovely summery - black can be summery - clothes on, we headed to group where I hit 2 of my 3 mini targets, getting over that 100lbs mark and dropping into the 17 stones, and I only missed my big target by a lb with my loss of 4½lbs, so that next award shall be mine next week! I had a lovely time catching up with everyone, and chatting away to Helena, Mike and Sacha - I really wouldn't be where I am now without the wonderful support I get from everyone that's for sure, but it was Hague who was the star of the show, with a loss of 5lbs, which got him Slimmer of the Week and Slimmer of the Month. That's two months in a row he's won that, I am SO proud of him, looks like he'll be at target by the summer with just over 2 stone left to go :)

After group, and laden down with absolutely tons of fruit from our wonderful group, we headed home for something to eat. Hague's choice today, cheesey pasta.

Now, he may be a star slimmer, but Mr Hague is not overly fond of the old superfree, and so his pasta only had mushrooms and onions mixed in, and a healthy portion of pasta, whereas I like to bulk mine out with lots of veggies and so I added in some broccoli and cherry tomatoes with mine, and had less of the pasta. I also had a whole tub of LowLow. Yummy :)

We then had the rarity of me and Hague working a similar shift, and so we actually had the chance, for the first time, for me to take him into work before heading in myself, our timings were a wee bit out and I only made it in by the skin of my teeth, but we'll be able to do it tomorrow too - all this time working and this is the only time our shifts have coincided! Anyway, with me skidding myself down onto the line with seconds to spare it was to the news that the lines have been running like crap. Never something you want to hear - and so back down to earth with a bump it was.

Didn't stop the breaks though ;) After such a deliciously cheesey dinner, I'm sure you won't be surprised to see that I needed something sweet.

With that polished off, and thoroughly enjoyed, it was back down to the line, where the temperature had dropped down to 26 degrees rather than the 27 that had welcomed me when I arrived. It gets a tad warm in here....

Perhaps that's why the machines have decided to behave like irritable children today - with constant stop/start and alarms going off almost constantly. It's amazing how quickly you can go from a pretty good mood to wanting to stab yourself in the face, something I discovered today! As the machines were being such little b*stards I didn't get my lunch until 3am, and so I was pretty hungry by the time it came along and I put away quite a lot of my night stash.

The rest of the magic soup I'd made yesterday, along with some Crispy Fries - the joys of which I shared with my group today - plus a yogurt and clementine, and yet more water as the temperature had only dropped to 25 degrees despite the time! With the Slimming World magazine to keep me occupied my half an hour break flew by and all too soon it was back to the line, thankfully another machine had broken down though, giving us a break from sorting out ours all the time. Yay!

Unsurprisingly, as soon as that machine was fixed, ours played up again, and my last break didn't come along until nearly 5am, and I finish at 5.45! When work was finally done, I headed to Hague's work to pick him up. As he doesn't finish until 7, I kept myself occupied with a snack and my Kindle until he was done.

So that was my Tuesday, and it went from a lovely mood to an aching, grumpy Karen who couldn't wait to get into bed :(  At least the weekend is starting to look a little closer from here, and so is payday. both things which should cheer me up and get me through to the end of the week! Here's hoping that work today is better, and cooler! Won't hold my breath lol!
