Body Magic and Bloody Good Friends!

For the first time in about a thousand years I haven't spend a Sunday doing absolutely bugger all. In fact I've been rather busy today, by my standards anyway! I'd arranged to go and see my friend Sacha to pick up some bits and bobs she'd found in her freezer and wouldn't use, as well as lots of other bits and pieces and a bag of clothes and so I'd set an alarm, and for once I didn't keep snoozing but got myself up and fed in good time.

I even managed a cooked breakfast, of beans, tomatoes and mushrooms on toast topped with a couple of fried eggs. With that eaten I just about had time to get myself dressed before heading out to see the lovely Sach and be overwhelmed with her generosity. I spent a good half an hour or so catching up with her, before I had to head home as I wanted to watch the Liverpool vs West Ham game as I'd seen on Twitter that it was live on Liverpool TV. Alas, it was only commentary, but I had a good listen whilst sorting out myself some lunch to fortify myself for the marathon of Body Magic that was to come.

This isn't actually a bowl of vomit...I'll be the first to admit that it doesn't actually look that appetising, but it's a packet of the hi-veg Pasta n Sauce with some extra courgettes in. I stirred three extra light Laughing Cow triangles in as well. It was okay, it filled me up, but with the dried vegetables in it, it had a vaguely Pot Noodle quality to it, so I think it'll be one of those store cupboard emergency type of meals. However, when followed by a banana, it fed me, so job done! Job was also done by West Ham, who managed a point at Anfield, no mean feat!

By now it was heading close to 4pm, and so out I headed to do some leafleting for my Consultant, Claire. I don't mind helping her out like this. I walk miles and with my music on I don't really notice I'm doing it. I'll be honest, this was a lot of walking, and a lot of leaflets, and by the time I was done I was feeling it. When I got back to the car, it was obvious why.....

5 miles is a LOT of letterboxes lol! No wonder my feet and arms had starting hurting! I'd even managed to get paint on my hand from a newly painted gate, that no-one had bothered to mention! Ah well, it's one hell of a good start to my Bronze Body Magic award that I'm attempting once more! I'm determined to actually do a bit extra despite work being really active, I want to push myself that bit more so I can really start to tone up.

Obviously after that I was shattered, and I couldn't wait to get home and into the bath. Unfortunately after the Tap Incident last week, the cold tap on the bath is now a bit too tight, and barely flows and so it took a while to run the hot and then use a jug to add cold from the sink! Brother in Law is coming back soon to sort the ceiling, so we'll have to get him to sort that too *sigh* I did enjoy the bath when I finally got my soak though, spending nearly an hour just relaxing and texting trying to ease my aches!

I could quite easily have just nodded off after my bath, I was warm, and sleepy, but I was also hungry and that got me back downstairs to sort out something to eat. I decide to splash out lots of syns on lots of cheeseyness, and dinner was all the better for it :)

Two Quorn BBQ sticky fillets (courtesy of Sacha), roasted onions and cherry tomatoes and under that tidal wave of LowLow (also courtesy of Sacha) are sweet potato and normal potato wedges :) It was absolutely delicious and worth every one of the 6 syns for the half a tub of LowLow (the other half was my HeA). I think I'll have to save some syns to do that again, it was especially nice on the sweet potato wedges!

Whilst dinner was cooking I also sorted out a huge pot of minestrone soup for next week and got a chilli in the slow cooker to cook overnight so myself and Hague have food for our lunches at work next week. When I add in that I also unloaded and re-loaded the dishwasher and got two loads of washing and drying done today I think we can safely say that today was most definitely NOT a lazy Sunday!

So the weekend is over, and it seems to have flown by. Probably as I've been rather a busy girlie over the last two days rather than my normal routine when Hague is in Barnsley of doing not much beyond watching Come Dine With Me and feeding myself! It's made a nice change to get out and about, and I'm hoping that the exercise today will help me get a decent night's sleep tonight, especially as I'm not off next week, but am in for an extra week :( 

But, I'd like to end today's blog with another quick thank you to Sacha - your bits and bobs that you wouldn't have used will come in immensely useful in the next week or so :) It's appreciated so, very much. Plus.....I'm hoping for a stonking loss from you on Tuesday too hun xxx

    1. I hope so! Sacha got 1.5lbs, so I'm pleased for her :) My turn tomorrow!
