Better Late Than Never!

For some reason, earlies are wiping me out this week, I get home and just have no energy whatsoever! Yesterday I had a few jobs to do after work, which meant I couldn't settle down until gone half past 4. So by the time I'd eaten and sorted out my replacement Kindle, I was literally ready for bed, and I had my lights out and my eye mask on before 7pm! I'm so rock and roll :) Mind you, I'm still shattered today! Anyway, onwards with yesterday's food.....

We're running low on lots of things indoors, especially bits and bobs that I usually bring into work, and so my meals are taking on a rather haphazard quality. Today at first break is a prime example!

I've not had a Graze box delivered in quite a while, but I found one of the little packs hanging around and so grabbed that to go along with my banana. It was dried pineapple, mango and coconut and it was gorgeous! So sweet and tasty, well worth 5 syns in my book. With a busy old day at work, with lots of walking, it wasn't a surprise that I was pretty hungry again quite quickly though!

Breakfast was more standard as Hague had got it ready for me when he got in from work, see, I couldn't even be bothered with that, shocking!

My Dorset Cereals muesli with plenty of fat free yogurt and some pineapple. Plus some water, as the fridge is woefully low at work at the moment :) Once again, I had nothing during last break, mostly as I didn't have anything left...so whilst running my chores after work, my main thought was what to have for dinner, as I was rather hungry, but lacking in any motivation to cook! Cue soup, seriously, it's just so easy. Bung everything in a saucepan with stock, wait and blend - perfect!

It was delicious, even if I do say so myself :) I used the brocolli that was in my raffle prize, along with some onion, oregano, veg stock and spinach, and then just before blending I added four of the LC blue cheese light triangles. It was rich, tasty and creamy, and I ate up the whole bowl :)

I think it goes to show just how hungry I was that not long afterwards I had a craving for some chips, I wanted SW wedges with some mayonnaise, and so that's what I had, I'm looking on the soup as a starter and the wedges as a main course lol!

After checking the syns of the mayonnaise, I discovered that the Tesco extra light mayo is in fact only ½ a syn per tablespoon rather than one, so that was a rather happy find for the day :)

Dessert was rather Christmassy! One of my chores was to stop off at Aldi to pick up the sprouts for Christmas Day as they were only 39p, and whilst I was there I saw they were doing bags of Clementines for 69p, so I grabbed a bag of those as well - I guess now is not the time to mention that I also picked up a box of mini stollen bites for Christmas Day.....   ;)

Then, with Santa all nommed up, and my Clementines thoroughly enjoyed, I headed up to bed! Hence, why this is only being published this morning - Sorry!

Today is going to be a bit of a hard slog, I'm working a 12 hour shift, and halfway through I have an interview for a new job. It's still shift work, but it's a more interesting job (I think...lol), anyway, any luck would be nice! Hopefully I won't be too tired to blog tonight, but as I won't be getting home until gone 6pm, that might be wishful thinking!
