I know it's not actually Sunday, but for some reason today has really felt like a Sunday. I don't know if it's because I know that work is close to the horizon, or that it's been a really lovely relaxed kind of day filled with lots of my favourite things. Strange indeed - but apparently it is still Saturday, regardless of what my mind is determined to tell me!

As a Sunday kind of Saturday, we managed a lovely lie in, with plenty of snugglings before we ventured out from under the duvet. I woke up really hungry, and only managed a small cuppa before sorting myself out something to eat.

I know my breakfasts are quite samey when I have the time to cook, but I'm rather an avid fan of a runny egg with chips - or wedges if you're too lazy to make chips. Next week shall be a mixture of cold breakfasts as I'm working earlies, so I'm making the most of my chance to have a nommy cooked breakfast :)

Whilst breakfast was going down, washing down with another cuppa of course, the doorbell rang. Hague looked at me and asked what I'd been ordering...I insisted that I hadn't ordered anything and he went to answer the door. How could I have forgotten ordering these?

Aren't they beautiful? I've been lusting after them for the longest time and I finally bit the bullet and ordered them. I love them. Although after posting this picture on Facebook, and having an in-depth discussion regarding beautiful boots, and beautiful shoes, I have now seem at least two more pairs that I must have *sigh* A girl really can't have too many shoes! I guess on the plus side I won't slim out of these right?

With all the excitement, it's not surprising that I was hungry again after not too long. I didn't want anything too heavy though, and decided to do myself a quick soup.

As per usual, I didn't bother with following one of those recipe things, and just made it up as I went along. Was bloody lovely though!

Broccoli and Stilton soup.
stock pot

As always with me, it was quite simply. I softened some frozen onion with some garlic and once they were cooked I threw in some frozen broccoli, a stock pot and I guess around 1/2-3/4 pint of water and left to simmer for around 20 minutes. Just before blending I stirred in some fresh spinach and then poured it all into the blender. Once blended, I topped it with my HeB of Stilton (30g). Quick, easy and really tasty. I also have a healthy serving left for tomorrow's trip to Barnsley :)

After a lovely, long soak, during which I started to read Twilight....but shussshhh, don't tell Hague, he hates what he calls Tw*tlight ;) My mind once again turned to food. I'm having such a hungry day!! I pondered making a cous cous quiche, but decided it was way too much faff after being chilled out in the bath and settled on one of  my infamous eclectic dinners.

A rather random mix of LM vegetarian sausages, roasted courgette with tomatoes and topped with fat free salad dressing and some chicken and herb SuperNoodles with 6 Lauging Cow extra light triangles stirred in. I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I do love cheesey noodles - and I just wanted rid of the sausages as they're 2 syns each!

I followed it up with some fruit and yogurt - as my hungry day feeling is well and truly carrying on all day!

As you can see, some mini meringues fell onto the fruit as well. Oops. ;) After that little bowl of pineapple, banana, grapes and yogurt I finally feel full though! Not long until bed tonight though, a Barnsley visit means an early start, so I'll need to head up to bed early - guess that's another reason it feels like Sunday!

I guess I could have had a few less syns today, especially after yesterday, but I wanted to get rid of the synful sausages that stupid Asda sent. I'm still within my 15 today though, and still hoping to lose that 1lb by Tuesday, however unlikely that might be ;) We're off to Barnsley tomorrow, so I'll have plenty of munchies with me to avoid falling off plan, and hopefully I'll be able to treat myself to some Sushi too. Hopefully I'll realise at some point tomorrow that it's actually Sunday as well!

  1. Yep you did need to start reading twilight ;) its good!

    1. It's your fault I started reading it ;) I'm a late-comer to most things. I didn't start reading Harry Potter until after Goblet of Fire was published!

  2. Fabulous boots!

I just wanted to say that this is probably my favourite blog right now - I was SO close to giving up Slimming World a few weeks ago but then found this and it really changed the way I approached it and made me realise that it was worth carrying on. I'm also vegetarian and eat pretty much exactly the same way (bar the Quorn as I am allergic to it, which is SO annoying!) and it's made me change things and add a few others with the result that a week after I started reading, I lost over 4lbs, which I think is down to you!

Thanks so much and I look forward to reading more and also your jubilation when you reach your goal. Good luck! x

    1. Melanie, Thank you so, so much for commenting! If I have managed to help in even a tiny way I'm SO happy :)

Congrats on such a fab loss xx

  3. lol I never got as far as reding Harry Potter and had to be convinced to read twilight, just watched the last film last night and loved it. Dont forget to read Bree Tanner before Eclipse!

    1. Oh Harry Potter is fabulous, you must read it! So is Eclipse the second one? I have zero idea about Twilight lol

  4. Glad I'm not the only one who tried use up food with syns from the freezer.

And yes. Twiglet is worth reading *grin*
