Say Cheese

Today has been a very cheesy day. I do love my cheese and it's one of the best things about doing only Green days.....cheese as a HeB :) I just had a need for cheese! As has been the norm this week I woke up still feeling tired, and I seem to have caught Hague's cold too, so I could quite happily have stayed curled up in bed. Alas, work was waiting, and so I dragged myself out of bed, and the wonderful Hague made breakfast.

Plenty of superfree in the omelette, with mushrooms, courgettes and spinach. It's not only cottage cheese there though, stuffed inside the omelette are 4 of the Laughing Cow blue cheese triangles. All pleasantly demolished and the cheese craving was sated. For a few hours!

So off to work I went, as always loaded down with lots of food and snacks. Today's main meal was leftover chilli....topped off with more cheese :)

I also had an apple later, but forgot to take a photo of it! Sorry! Work actually went quite quickly today. I kept myself very busy, and was able to use my phone as a pedometer all day as I've been told off for using it on the line, so it stayed in my pocket! Rather shocking really how much walking I do in 8 hours!

Over 5 1/2 miles! Plus I apparently burned off nearly 1500 calories too - who needs body magic? No wonder my little feet ache when I get home!

Speaking of getting home, I'd asked Hague if he could do me some soup in the slow cooker, and when I got home it was all ready for me. However, whilst blending the soup, the blender lid came off and Hague got covered in hot soup for his efforts :( Poor thing. The soup WAS really nice though, and of course I topped it with some more cheese....Stilton this time!

For a quick and simple soup it was delicious. It was just frozen cauliflower, broccoli and some of the Asda casserole mix topped up with some stock. I'll definitely be having it again, surprisingly filling too!

So now it's getting late, and I have to head to work a bit earlier tomorrow as I need to visit the shop, so I want to get myself into bed a wee bit earlier!

I got a text from Claire (my consultant) today too, and apparently I have been nominated for Miss Slinky at class....I'm not sure I quite qualify as slinky yet, but it was a pleasant shock to hear I'd been nominated. I'll let you know how I get on as it's back to my own group next week!
