Lazy Girl

I have no excuse for not blogging yesterday. I had a serious case of the Can't Be Arsed's and spent most of yesterday doing absolutely nothing. I bored myself to be honest, and really should have got a blog done. Bad Karen!

So let's go back in time to Friday night, a night spent at work, mostly cleaning! I'll only really talk about my dinner as the rest was much of a muchness with the rest of the week :)

I decided to call this indecision on a plate as I really didn't know what I fancied, I just know that I fancied a fried egg :) So I did some mushrooms, topped them with the Laughing Cow blue cheese triangles and topped that with a burger, served up with roasted new potatoes, roasted peppers, tomatoes and gherkins. I know it's an odd mix, but it hit the spot. I never said I ate like a normal person :)

Work was, well work....

Much the same as normal, with the addition of a pack of French Fries for a delicious 4 syns :) Sometimes a girl just needs some crisps, and these are pretty low syn really. A night full of cleaning is definitely something to work up the appetite, and when I got home I was really hungry and so did myself a quick syn free meal before heading to bed.

Chicken and herb supernoodles with some tomatoes and spinach. Quick and filling. Then bed :)

And so onto Saturday. I actually managed a decent nights sleep, despite not dropping off until around 9. Obviously, as always, I woke up hungry, but I really couldn't be bothered to have anything to eat. Not good. Luckily the fridge was full and I cobbled together some fruit which did the job.

After watching the football, I figured I really did have to do something for dinner and so loaded up the slow cooker with the ingredients for the world's laziest chilli!

Frozen quorn steak strips
frozen onions, peppers and sweetcorn
tin of beans, kidney beans and two tins of tomatoes
stock pot
chilli
ginger
seasoning
paprika

I then just let it all cook for an hour, gave it a stir then left it for a few more hours (it was on high). It made enough for me to have a couple of bowls, with two more large portions left over for work during the week. Not bad really for a very lazy day! Although I guesstimated the measurement of my cheese - a very bad habit which I won't be falling into.

I also partook in a vodka (or 4). Normally I'm really good at measuring out my vodka, so I can keep track of syns, but in true Can't Be Arsed style, last night I didn't. I had 4 glasses, with lots of ice, but I'm pretty sure they were at least doubles, so I'm going to allow 25 syns. I know I didn't have anywhere near half a bottle, but it was slightly more than 4 doubles, so 25 seems a happy medium, and they were my only syns of the day.

This is the first time I've done this - guesstimated syns, it's not a habit I want to get into and so I'll be making sure I'm completely back on track today. Laziness really is a way to stack up syns without even realising it, a bad day all round really as I was missing Hague too :(
