Shifting Again

I've just got in from my night shift, and seeing as I have a 12 hour shift looming tomorrow/tonight, I thought it wise to get my blog done now whilst I'm enjoying my hot chocolate before bed!

For some reason I slept until the ridiculous time of 7pm. I have no idea why, I fell asleep at around 5am, and woke up again at 2pm, but then went back to sleep. For five hours. Which is insane, and meant that I didn't get much time with Hague today :( When I dragged myself out of bed, Hague did me a quick dinner.


There are actually quite a few veggies hiding under the pasta. Honest! Courgettes, broccoli and mushrooms are lurking under those carbs, all mixed up with the blue cheese Laughing Cow triangles. It set me up for work and had barely hit my stomach before I had to get myself showered and out to work :(

As always, I took plenty of food in with me. I always do this on nights, that way I'm not left hungry and really tired halfway through the night. I tend to pick at every break to keep myself going and tonight was no exception.




At first break I treated myself to a small tango to wash down my Alpen bar and apple (2.5 syns), for my main break it was the leftover tomato soup from the other day with a couple of Shape yogurts (1 syn) and some no added sugar squash. I wasn't massively hungry on my last break, but had a banana so I wouldn't flag before home time and some water. One thing I do have a problem with at work is drinking enough. We used to have a water cooler, so it was easy for me to get plenty of fluids in during my shift, but that has disappeared - so I'm limited for now to what I drink on my breaks, and as you can see, I probably only managed a litre or so tonight! Not good!

I did manage to do some body magic tonight though, plenty of walking. Which is good for my body, not so good for my poor little feet which are still throbbing! Still, it means that the first week towards my Bronze body magic award is all done and dusted!


So there you have it, the not very exciting tale of my night at work. My hot chocolate is now calling me, as is my bed, so I'm sure you'll forgive me for not thinking of a reason today - my poor little brain is just pooped!

My shift tomorrow is a 12 hour one, from 6pm to 6am, which means that once again I can't make it to my group to weigh in. It's SO frustrating - at least these are my last 12's on a Tuesday for a while, so I can get back into my routine. I want to know if I've finally achieved a 4 stone loss! I want to see all my friends at group and see how they're getting on, and I just want some of the wonderful support that FB just can't provide on it's own! Roll on next week!
