Yet Another Night...

I'm getting bored with working nights now. I'm SO looking forward to my week off when I can be free to do what I want and eat what I want. I guess it's the same for everyone working shifts, your life is pretty much on hold whilst you're at work - you exist in a weird cycle of sleep, eat, work and nothing else. I was desperately hoping that I wouldn't be going into work tonight, but alas, it was not to be, despite seeing three pairs of magpies on the drive home this morning.....so much for 2 for joy eh?

Anyway, I was woken up by the lovely Hague yesterday with the news that dinner was nearly ready. He'd made a lasagne, a first for him. Despite it not being quite as I'd envisioned (I'd suggested a cheesy one and he'd added tomatoes), it tasted lovely, and I think I'll be having another visit to lasagne land when I'm off next week.

Hague's Lasagne
pasta sheets
tinned tomatoes
a tub of LowLow
Quorn chunks
peppers
mushrooms
onions
tomato puree
stock cube
cheddar cheese.

He cooked everything (except the cheddar and pasta sheets) together, then layered them with the pasta sheets and topped with the cheddar. Then in the oven for 25 minutes. Job done :) Personally, I would have also topped it with the yogurt/egg/nutmeg sauce, but this worked :)

For lunch at work, it was leftover chilli once again, but after such a filling dinner, I only had an apple and yogurt to go along with it, which was plenty.

Work was busy again, with lots of changeovers and cleaning (more body magic!), and once again I resorted to an Options hot chocolate to wind me down. It worked this time though, and I actually had a decent sleep, and have woken up today nice and refreshed (although annoyed at having to go into work tonight).

I had some rather disturbing news today as well.....Laughing Cow light triangles are not veggie friendly :( I've checked the ingredients and can't see why, but according to the website they're not - so they're now well and truly off the menu, to join Parmesan, Muller Light yogurts and WeightWatchers yogurts - farewell! The extra lights ARE vegetarian though, so I'll be switching to those. It can be such a minefield out there for vegetarians, but at least I know now!
