The Vodka Diet

Apparently the vodka diet works quite well, as at weigh in today I managed to lose 4 1/2lbs! That meant I got my 2 1/2 stone award AND my Club 10! Quite the achievement as far as I'm concerned. Much as I joke about the vodka diet - I know that I was well within my syns for the week as it was ONLY the vodka that was synful - there were no crisps, pizza or chocolate to add to the damage, although I was still quite stunned when I got on the scales. I was also joint Slimmer of the Week, and have now filled up half of the back of my book :)

I probably won't be able to attend class for the next couple of weeks due to having to work 12 hour shifts on group days - but I've set myself the target (publicly!) to have lost over 3 stone in total when I return to group. I won't be going off plan just because I can't get to group, not when I've come this far!

Food wise it's been an odd day, as I had probably the most abysmal night's sleep in weeks. I was still awake at 10.30 AM, yes, that's AM :( I finally drifted off at about 11, and so Hague left me to sleep until 4.30 when I had to get ready for group.

I've already told you how I got on there (bloody marvellously) and so let's head straight to my unremarkable but filling dinner. Pasta, with cheese and veggies.

We were heading out for a few hours to meet up with friends, and so dinner needed to be quick, and it doesn't really come much quicker than pasta does it?

Whilst in the pub I indulged in a single half pint of Guinness, and then went onto water and I even managed to resist rather delicious looking chocolate and vanilla cakes! Of course when we got home we were both pretty hungry and so I threw together something quick but not too heavy. Some Quorn sticky fillets in pitta breads with lots of salad and fat free yogurt.

The pitta breads are a HeB for one, but as I was hungry I had two, and will syn the second one (7syns). The rest of the filling was free.

On another note - I have managed to forget to cancel my Graze boxes once again. Now, if you haven't heard of Graze, they are a company that sends little boxes of healthy snacks through the post. (If you want to try a box, just have a little click HERE and then use code YYX2MZN). I had the foresight of changing the style of box to a light one just in case, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the syn values weren't too bad. Especially considering two of the snacks are apple slices with toffee dip and a cake!

Just in case you can't make out the syns they are (clockwise from top left) Salsa dip with little mexican nibbles - 2 1/2 syns. Sun dance mix, dried mango, chocolate covered sunflower seeds and green raisins - 7 syns. Toffee apple, dried apple slices with a toffee dip - 3 1/2 syns, and afternoon tea, a teabag and a slice of pumpkin and ginger cake - 4 syns. So, if I chose to, I could have 3 of these little boxes, including toffee dip and cake for just 10 syns! Not bad eh? I'll probably only pick at them over the next few days, but at least I know I can. Always best to check first when it comes to syns :)
