Welcome to the Slimming World Files! I’ll be honest, I’m writing this blog for me first and foremost as I want to give myself as much of a push to carry on with my journey as possible. However, I do hope that if you have found this little blog, you’ll enjoy some of the recipes and ideas I’ll be sharing on here.
So a bit of background. I’m 37 years old, and have been overweight for my whole life (pretty much). I’ve tried most diets, including milkshakes and that lovely little “fat blocker” pill. The only diet I’ve really had success with is Slimming World, and it is to them I have returned for the last time.
The last time? Yes, the last time. I WILL be slim for my 40th birthday. There are no ifs or buts to this situation. I’ve had enough of getting bigger and bigger, feeling too big and heavy to do anything, of not fitting into chairs or airline seats, of being unable to walk anywhere without breaking into a sweat and panicking at the sight of stairs. No more. My life has changed in so many ways in the last few years, divorce, depression and redundancy to name but a few, but now the time is right. To jump this final hurdle – and I want to share my journey with you :o)
