My Ears Are Broken

Who'd have thought it, I know losing weight affects so many aspects of your health - your joints, your fitness, your general wellbeing....I didn't realise that losing weight affected your ears! This evening at weigh in, I was feeling a bit "heavy" (I'm sure anyone dieting will get what I mean), and so didn't expect a loss, so when I weighed in and heard "a pound" for some reason I presumed I'd gained. It was only when Claire read out that I'd lost that I realised that 1lb had gone, not re-appeared! I'm putting it down to lack of sleep, perhaps I should take more notice of what the scales actually say in future :)

Anyway, back to the "fun" of today. The wonderful tones of my alarm went off once again at 4.30am, and my day at work was pretty similar to yesterday. Busy, with many miles walked and much lifting and stretching done! The pedometer decided to turn itself off after my first break so I missed a quarter of my day's steps and STILL racked up 3.3 miles. No wonder my poor little feet hurt.

As I've mentioned, on an early shift my work food stays pretty much the same, and today was identical to yesterday, although the Harvest Moon cereal bar was one of the elusive chocolate and orange ones (very delish)! Once again I headed home and went to bed, not much of a nap today, but at least it was a rest! On a weigh in day, dinner waits until after I've weighed in. Hague is now back and so I got home to dinner that was practically done. A nice minimal effort dinner though, a cheese, mushroom and asparagus omelette with BBQ wedges and beans.

The BBQ fry light really worked on the wedges, lots of taste, and it was a rather delicious, comforting dinner for an evening when the weather has turned again :( For dessert, I think it will just be my yogurts again - I'm so tired that even eating is an effort this week! Roll on next week and the night shift, when I can actually get enough sleep!!

Food Diary

Free Food
fat free natural yogurt
apple
eggs
asparagus
mushroom
potato
baked beans

Healthy Extras
A - 2 x 30g of Cheddar
B - 40g of Dorset Cereals muesli

Syns

Harvest Moon cereal bar x2      6

Total                                         6

For this coming week, Claire has set a group challenge - to have at least one syn free day during the week. She has noticed that some people are eating less of the free and superfree foods and are relying more on syns when it should be the other way around. So I'll be trying to have at least one, and hopefully more syn free days next week. Would be nice if it showed on the scales too, just 1 1/2lbs to go to reach my 2 stone award! I also picked up some more scan bran, as Claire had made some scan bran "ferrerro rocher" and they were gorgeous....my only concern is that if I make them I won't be able to stop eating them :)

Watch this space for the recipe!
