After I'd blogged last night, we headed to Tesco to pick up a few bits and bobs you can't get in Aldi. I was also on the look out for a few things I'd seen advertised and was intrigued by and luckily enough I found them all!

How would you like to hear about syn free chocolate? I thought you might ..... it's not quite a bar of chocolate, but to me it tastes a bit like chocolate biscuits. So what is this amazing syn free chocolate?

Chocolate tea!!! It does have some cocoa in it, but it's syn free. I had a cup yesterday without milk, but with a sweetener and it's definitely got a chocolatey taste to it, as I said, it sort of tastes of chocolate biscuits. For me, it'll be an alternative to hot chocolate in the evenings, or just when I feel the need for something sweet. It's worth a taste anyway. It's £1.79 for 50 teabags, so it's not hideously expensive either.

My other discoveries were the new BBQ FryLight, which I'll try soon, and the new Linda McCartney fish free prawns, which I'm having for dinner tonight!

So.......back to today. As we didn't pick up the basics at Tesco, breakfast was once again muesli, yogurt and fruit (grapes today).

Today was my last day of work for a week, and I didn't have any leftovers to take in, so I resorted to another store cupboard staple on Slimming World, a mugshot. Perfect for work! Add to that the last dregs of my tomato soup, an apple and a yogurt (I didn't eat the cereal bar in the end...) and you have a very definite end of the week, empty food store type lunch lol! It did the job though.

Dinner was something a bit experimental. I saw some Garlic and Chilli stir fry sauce in the work shop today and thought I'd give it a go. The whole jar is 12.5 syns, so I'll allow 3 1/2 for the quarter jar I had. It was enough for my meal anyway :) So what did I have with the sauce?

The Linda McCartney prawns, broccoli, pineapple and noodles. I'm not entirely convinced about the prawns. To me, they just tasted fishy, quite similar to the quorn fishless fingers. Not a bad thing, but not particularly prawny. It made a bit of a change anyway. I think I'd only buy them again if they were on offer, or if I fancied a recipe that needed prawns. They're not too bad syn wise though, 60g for a syn.

The dinner was well worth the syns, the sauce went a long way. As for my discoveries, the chocolate tea is a thumbs up, the prawns are a meh, and I'm really looking forward to trying out the BBQ fry light....I'm already pondering recipes that could use a barbecue-ey flavour to them :)

Once again today my steps were rather high, as my day was quite busy! Not quite as high as my record, but pretty damn good!

I'm off work next week, at long last, and I'm definitely looking forward to trying out some new recipes as I'll have a bit more time. Any suggestions??
